Cadenzia eco-friendly kit

You’ve heard all the BS from big brands about how they’re doing their bit for the environment but how many actually are?

Cadenzia featured at number one in our ‘best sustainable cycling clothing brands’ guide earlier in the year for its use of a bamboo and recycled polyester blend to make durable but ultra-soft ripstop fabric. It even uses eco dyes to get colour onto the clothing.

The brand has a minimal range but you wouldn’t need more, and that’s part of the point.

These winter bits Cadenzia has decked me out in include its bib tights, on which the main fabric is made from 86% recycled polyamide and the mesh of the straps is made from 95% recycled polyamide – the rest is elastane. They’re simple but comfortable, thermal and have reflective details.

While arm warmers are available, what you can see here is part of the long sleeve base layer, which is made for all-season riding and it mostly a mesh knit, with a seamless construction to make it as comfortable as possible. It’s made from 90% recycled polyester.

The jersey is the Core Training jersey, which is made from that bamboo viscose and recycled polyester blend (44% and 56% respectively), and is technical with breathability, sweat-wicking, anti-odour and UV protection properties.

  • Jersey: £95
  • Baselayer: £65
  • Bib tights: £190
